Why all our breeders are ANKC registered
In today’s climate the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) registration is as important as ever. With the rise of new breeding organisations creating their own registrations and codes, the ANKC and ANKC registered breeders need to be promoted to the wider community in order to protect purebred dog standards.
The Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) aims to promote excellence in breeding, showing, trialling, obedience and other canine related activities and the ownership of temperamentally and physically sound pure-bred dogs by responsible individuals across Australia, as well as promoting responsible dog ownership. The ANKC has 8 members from each major state in the country. They include:
Registered breeders of these organisations are bound by their Code of Practice for the breeding and welfare of puppies. Registered breeders also confirm that they are able to provide you with registration papers for your new purebred (pedigreed) puppy.
We proudly promote ANKC registered breeders. This means that we educate buyers on the importance of the ANKC registration, ensuring the health and happiness of purebred dogs and encouraging ethical practices going forward.
